Arlene M. (Tagge) Hadenfeldt

March 3, 1928 - July 29, 2018

Arlene M. (Tagge) Hadenfeldt, 90, of Lincoln, entered Heaven on July 29, 2018. Born March 3, 1928 to Arthur and Anna (Steinke) Tagge near Cairo, NE. Arlene worked as a banking associate at First Security Bank for 20+ years in Holdrege, NE and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE.

Arlene Tagge met Vernon Hadenfeldt, the love of her life, while participating in her church youth group. During their marriage, they made their homes in Grand Island, Holdrege, and Lincoln, NE and wintered for 8 years in Pharr, TX after retiring. Personal hobbies included sewing, crocheting, embroidery and video slots on her iPhone. She was also a voracious reader, the Bible being her favorite book. Vernon and Arlene enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Their marriage was an example for all. Vernon passed away in October, 2013.

Arlene will be greatly missed by her survivors, including her daughters, Barbara (C.B.) Banks, Kay Ann (Tim) Halstrom; grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, and Elliott Carroll, Anna Banks, and Jackson Halstrom; great grandchildren, Taylor and Jordyn Carroll; sister Evelyn Knoepfel; special nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister and brother, Emily and Alvin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther (Arnold) Daubendick, Viola (Earle) Karle, Ramona (Leroy) Werner, and Harlan Knoepfel.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday (8-3-18) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Lane, Lincoln, NE. Visitation with family greeting friends, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday (8-2-18) at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for future designation.
